If a conservative doesn’t like guns, they don’t buy one. If a liberal doesn’t like guns, then no one should have one.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, they don’t eat meat. If a liberal is vegetarian, they want to ban all meat products for everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy. A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a conservative is homosexual, they quietly enjoy their life. If a liberal is homosexual, they loudly demand legislated respect.

If a black or Hispanic American is conservative, they see themselves as independently successful. Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

If a conservative is down-and-out, they think about how to better their situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of them.

If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, they switch channels. Liberals demand that host’s they don’t like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church. A liberal wants all churches to be silenced.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A liberal demands that his neighbor pay for his.

Well, Nancy Pelosi says we’re weeks away from having H.R. 3200 Health Care bulldozed down our throats like a goose in preparation to become foie gras.  Just like the genie can’t be put back in the bottle, you can’t ‘un-see’ something or ‘un-ring’ a bell . . . I fear that once this (ravenous, nasty, stinking, clumsy, spitting) camel has his nose under the tent it’s just a matter of time before he’s all the way under wreaking havoc . . . in every aspect of our lives. He won’t just stand there in the corner, ya know . . .

It’s become increasingly apparent that our current president doesn’t only want to  “fundamentally change the United States of America”. After all the apologizing, in addition to throwing Israel under the bus (God HELP us!) . . . he wants the majority of the world to love him so that he can put into motion an eventual ‘One World Order’. Yes, I’ve said it HERE while I still can: Barack Obama is an ambitious, intentional liar, and he wants to rule the world. If I’m still alive, call me crazy twenty years from now.

You know what the socializing of medicine means to us, don’t you? Beyond health care, eventually it means that fat-nanny government knows whats best for us to do for a living, how much we should make, what we can own and use, where/how we travel, what we should eat, what our beliefs should/should not  be, and among other things, how long we should live needing assistance. Of course there are some (very FEW in comparison) good things in this bill, but real wisdom reminds me that “A little leaven, leavens the whole loaf”. It’s NOT a Republican or “Right wing conspiracy”, Mr. former President Lech . . . it’s a right vs. wrong thing . . . just like it was when you were chasing skirts around “The Resolute”. Believe me, I don’t like the Republicans any more than I like the Democrats right now. They’re all grand-standing to keep THEIR jobs.

If it’s true, that we are “weeks away”, what can WE do? For starters, in a recent podcast Crash served up a great reminder: 2 Chronicles 7:14 in the Bible says, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. So. . . firstly get your vertical relationship right, then work on the horizontal ones. Life is just better when you’re living right, even when circumstances around you are horrible!

Secondly, you’d better start getting aggressive with your own health. This week, my husband and I have determined that we are going to start doing just that~watching what we eat, and exercising together regularly. We don’t have much choice. If this health care bill passes in ANY form, we can’t just ‘coast’ into our 60′s, 70′s & 80′s and believe that regular Dr. visits will guide us along with treatments and the occasional joint replacement surgery. That ain’t happening. So, as I said this bill has a few good things in it, and maybe one of the side effects is that we get in a little better shape. My only regret is that it’s motivated by fear of my own government. Wow.

Fear and angst are increasingly unabated as our economy shows few signs of returning to the robust or even nominal growth of the previous 3 decades.  Integrated with these concerns  is the socialistic direction of government policies that threaten our very existence as a world power in both perception and reality.   Decisions by people in power and the ensuing actions that effect if not control these results are, therefore, critical.   An analysis of how and why decisions are made can be quite revealing.

In a DEMOCRACY, everyone has an equal vote and the position or person with the most votes wins. We only have to look at the Electoral College system of electing our President to realize that we do not have a democratic form of government. Our Representatives and Senators are elected in a democratic system then they represent us in their segment of the Congress.

In an OLIGARCHY, power is vested in a few people or groups. In this form of government results can,  and often do, benefit one group who, by virtue of size, resources or other forms of influence, can hold sway over the larger group.

In a REPUBLIC, decisions are made by those elected to represent those who selected them to be their representative.   A major question then arises.   Should they vote the wishes of the majority of those they represent or should they exercise their right to vote their position irrespective of the views of their constituents.

A KINGDOM, is where the vote can be ten to one and the “one wins.”   This is not to be confused with a Monarchy, as exists in England where there is a King or Queen but it is not the ruling legislative body.

Now,  here is how our system combines these forms of governing and decision making,  thus becoming DORKy.  There are segments of all forms of government  present in the way our system actually operates.

During August the numerous and democratic type hall meetings all across the country were quite revealing.  They showed the degree to which people have become very aware of issues and potential results of decisions on a number of fronts, headed by the extremely divisive  health care bill.  During these outpourings of anger,  most representatives showed  a complete lack of recognition of their  “representative” position as employees of the voters rather than the reverse.  The elitist view many exemplified  flew in the face of their responsibility of representing their constituents instead of caving in to the power tactics of their political party….i.e. oligarchical.

Additionally, the power of special interest groups and clandestine actions to impose the will of these groups seem to have increased geometrically.  At the nucleus of this power grab is the one and only B. H Obama.  The data and facts indicate that his “kingly” positions on all issues permeate the thinking and actions of his party.   Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) has indicated that he will move to the “nuclear option” which will permit the Senate to pass the highly unpopular Health Care Bill by a 51-49 or 50-50 vote with Joe Biden casting the tie breaking vote.   These actions reveal the power that the president wields. One ray of  hope has shown through as the ACORN fiasco has surfaced and quick actions have been taken by segments of the government to curtail if not stop this crooked, self-serving organization.  Even Barney Frank has done an about face and is seemingly on the stop ACORN bandwagon.  Maybe  our politicians are getting the message.  What is the message?  It is that we are sick and tired of them acting as though they are above those who elected them.

This is not a kingdom, nor should it be run as an oligarchy.  We democratically elect representatives.   Quit being DORKy.  Represent us without throwing away our future as well as our present.  If you don’t we are going to send you packing.

This home schooling thing has DEFINITELY been a challenge that I didn’t expect. Somehow though, I’ve been able to plow through with our children STILL under the misconception that their mom can do ANYTHING . . . Some of the best moments are like one that happened today. In trying to get our eight year old son to ‘think for himself” in math, there are several pre-written exercises to prompt  HIM come up with the rest of a math equation. Today’s went like this: “Mary had six apples. Then she gave away three of them. What would be a logical question to ask next?” As back-story for you, all the exercises this week have built UP to this ‘on your own thinking’. I know (being the teacher, I KNOW EVERYTHING), what it wanted him to say was, “How many apples did Mary have left?” . . .But to our son, the logical question was to ask “Why did she give them away?” . . .being a quick thinker, I helped him along with “No son, think of it like the other math problems we’ve had this week”  . . .his second attempt,”Well, did she give them away because they weren’t any good? Because soon the people would find out and they would want to give them back . . .” Again, believing I still had the upper hand I nudged him along with “Honey, think carefully. . . (slowly) Mary had 3 apples, and gave away three . . . what came after the number sentences we did yesterday? Remember? Yesterdays was about the kids at the birthday party. What happened at the end of THAT number sentence?”  . . . Our son with a big grin, jumping up said “We went to the LIBRARY! I’ll get my shoes!”

Talk about corruption! Crash and Janet wonder loudly HOW this President can truthfully be “unaware” of tactics used by this national level group he is so intimately tied to. The selfish deceit in these groups/politicians on both sides of the isle seems to be what most of America is up in arms about. IT’S ABOUT THE CRUMBLING CHARACTER OF OUR COUNTRY AND IT’S LEADERS. Fix the corruption from the bottom up, THEN tackle issues like Health Care, and Cap and Trade. Otherwise, it’s just decay upon decay. Crash says the ONLY way to clean house is term limits. Janet leans toward bi-vocational representatives. What if their livelihood came from something other than holding office? Either way, the low moral standards and behavior must give way for this great Republic to stand. Pressure from the American public (that’s YOU!) is responsible for the spotlight currently on “Acorn”, let’s not give up now! We’re on a roll!

Joe Wilson, Congressman (R-SC), created a firestorm when he called President Obama a liar in a joint session of Congress last week. Janet and Crash provide oxygen to fuel the raging flames with their opinionated viewpoints…no surprise here! What is surprising is the infrequent disagreement between Janet and Crash on the future of Sarah Palin. Take a listen…you may argue with the podcast but you will not be bored.

News Flash!!!   Charlie Gibson, with a derisive laugh and arrogant tone, stated that he did not know anything about the recent revelations from a series of amateur videos confirming ACORN’s  acts of aiding and abetting illegal activities.  The tapes, reported on FOX News,  were made by a 25 year old male and a 20 year old  female posing as a prostitute and her pimp boyfriend to expose what everyone has known for months…..ACORN is a crooked organization using our money to break  the law and subvert common decency and the political system.  And guess who was once their lawyer….none other than our illustrious President Mr. Barack Hussein Obama.

Gibson’s stripes are well known, having been revealed in his strident interview of Sarah Pallin shortly after she was named John McCain’s running mate for the Presidency.  Generally accepted as a knowledgeable, well informed journalist, Gibson is disingenuous at a minimum and an outright liar at the max or he is as dumb as a box of rocks.  My guess is that he and the rest of his flaming liberal news cohorts were caught between a rock and a hard place.  Either he could have  admitted that he and ABC is in the bag for Obama or further eroded their ever declining relevance in  the news business by claiming that the tapes being shown were not newsworthy.  He chose, rather,  to assert that he was unaware of the existence of the issue that has been on every “with it”  newscast and in every water cooler conversation for a week.  What planet are you on Charlie?

Just how are we to trust what is commonly called the “mainstream news media?”   Or are they really the “swimming against the stream media?”  I think I know….and I bet you do too.

I agree with our friends “Rick_and_Bubba” in reference to Jimmy_Carter’s asinine  assumption that anyone who disagrees with  President Obama is a racist. This morning they addressed a comment directly to Mr. Carter’s family . . .”Yall, somebody please, just put Paw-Paw in a home. . . it’s time”

You have to agree with the above paragraph, or you ARE a radical far-left flaming homosexual liberal. . . just admit it . . .

I was asked the question this morning, “If the President says something in just basic conversation. . .it should really be and stay off the record, shouldn’t it? I mean the guy has to be able to have a conversation, doesn’t he?”. . . I want to know what YOU think. My thoughts are that this ‘slip of the tongue’ is indicative of the lack of respect our president has for his own office. I remember being struck the same sort of disgusting way when Bill Clinton was so relaxed and casual in The Oval Office. I find it offensive, and it makes me wonder how we got here.

The answer is, yes he should be “Able to have a conversation”. But that conversation only happens in HIS living quarters, under HIS house rules. Any time he walks out of his bedroom, he’s on my clock. Even “Off the record” conversations are to be at the core, ‘Presidential’. If he had a shred of respect for the importance of WHAT the office of president is about, he would KNOW that making a comment about the behavior of a rap artist at an awards show is pretty dang undignified. He said that “Kanye West was a jackass”. . .which is an understatement in itself. But, it appears that the bigger “Jackass” is the one that holds (what used to be) the most powerful position in the world, felt OK letting his guard down in the presence of a television reporter. . . . what a jackass.

Where Were You September 11, 2001?

Eight years ago today our world was redefined. With the surprise attacks against us using our own airplanes that fateful day, anyone old enough to remember can pretty much tell you minute details of when they ‘heard’ the devastating news. Now, our current President wants the day remembered as a “Day of service”. The JTIU hosts think otherwise . . .
